Crude Oil Production in the United States averaged 7499.36 BBL/D/1K from 1950 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 12879 BBL/D/1K in November of 2019 and a record low of 3971 BBL/D/1K in September of 2008. Historically, crude oil prices have seen increases in times when OPEC production targets are reduced. OPEC member countries produce about 40 percent of the world's crude oil. Equally important to global prices, OPEC's oil exports represent about 60 percent of the total petroleum traded internationally.
